It is our intention to re - commence limited public running on Sunday 6th June (D.Day!)
Trains will run from 1300 to around 1600 with reduced capacity, and following current covid guidelines.
The circle is now complete!
The new circuit has now bee joined up, and the first train ran on Sunday 26th July. Appropriately, the first member to sample the new circuit was Iam Stewart with his "Ajax", the same combination who were the last ones to use track in it's old location at Clayton West. There is still much work to complete before we can open the track to public running, however, including final installation of the traverser, construction of steaming bays, further work on the station, and acquisition of passenger coaches. A new secure storage facility for the various items of wquipment has also to be acquired.
Although we are still unable to offer public running, working parties are still undertaking routine maintenance and construction whilst maintaining Covid safe practices. Please feel free to visit our site and view the work in progress, ask questions, or just have a chat with one or more of our members. If you are a current, past, or possible furure member feel free to come along for a socially distanced chat and catch up.
